SALUT finds a new home in Sweden.

Following a day of rest in southern Sweden the journey continued towards Stockholm but Salut disembarked at Ekensholm and was welcomed by the poodle Ozzie.

Perhaps the first time in a box? It took a while to accept the water dispenser but the hay was immediately welcomed.

The official reception at Ekensholm took place the following day when Walburga Habsburg Douglas welcomed Salut. The historic links between the imperial family and the Kladruby horses had now been re-established in this wonderful and unexpected way.

Walburga Douglas Habsburg (granddaughter of the last Emperor of Austria-Hungary) is Archduchess of Austria , Royal Princess of Hungary, and Countess Douglas.
