RIDING BEGINS

Once the lining had worked well for a few days the moment of mounting had come. In spite of a helper holding the horse it became immediately clear that it was impossible to stay on Salut, exploding like a rodeo horse! The result was an unwanted dismounting.

New careful mountings gradually makes Salut relax and the riding can slowly begin. It became obvious that Salut had very little experience and was more than one year behind what is normally expected from a 4-year old horse.

Riding is mixed with lining over bars, something that is new and foreign to Salut.

However, Salut shows a wise and positive attitude to new things. Careful and a bit suspicious at first, but curiousness takes over and he soon solves the problem.
