THE DELIVERY

On August the 23rd 2008 Salut was to participate in a ceremony at the Royal Palace. This was the formal delivery of four horses to the Royal Horse Guard. The days preceding this Salut had stayed at the Regiment and participated in preparatory exercises including a very early morning repetition at the Royal Palace.

This is how Salut will appear in the future as a fanfare trumpeter horse.

Together with the three other new horses Salut marched behind the troop horses through the city of Stockholm to the inner court of the Royal Palace where they waited for the presentation.

Salute was completely ignorant about the thousands of spectators. The music was familiar from the CD-player back home.

Salut is handed over to Olof Karlander but does not want to let go of his daily master.

Having performed exemplary during his first "duty" Salut has now been saddled again and is on his way through the city traffic back to the Regiment. After this, the trip back to country life is waiting where the basic training will continue for Salut.
